NOTES FROM THE NULL ZONE

Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future. John F. Kennedy

I live in an area where in spite of all the manufacturing jobs fleeing in the 80's and 90's earning the name Rust Belt and being rated as having the 7th highest crime rate in the state is still conservative to the bone.

The landscape is littered with save clean coal signs while at the same time the roads are clogged with fracking rigs and water trucks from all over the country getting the gas and oil fueling the electric generating plants that were the biggest users of that coal before. Only now the elect Trump/Pence signs have started to make it hard to see the clean coal signs.

The current election is so strange that I've quit watching or reading the news about it.

The thing I can't understand is why during this whole time, unlike previous elections, I haven't gotten any mail or phone calls from the Democratic side but have gotten lots of Republican handbills and in the last 24 hours 8 calls from the Republican party. I find this strange in a highly contested swing state where the down ticket races for Congress are not sure things for Republicans or Democrats.

It's getting weird out there...
